Caroline Huot - Canada

Salut tout le monde!!

C'est génial d'être ici et de faire partie de ce super blog!!Mon nom est Caroline Huot mais, dans la vie comme en ligne, je suis connue simplement sous Caro! J'ai 32 ans et présentement je suis maman à la maison de mes 3 enfants: Étienne a 14 ans, Xavier a 9 ans et Béatrice a 7 ans. Mon conjoint Stéphane et moi sommes ensemble depuis près de 16 ans maintenant! On habite à Laval, en banlieue nord de Montréal. Je fais du scrap depuis janvier 2003. Dans ce temps là, il n'y avait *rien* (et vraiment, vraiment RIEN!) par rapport au scrap, au Québec! C'est fou de constater l'évolution de ce hobby depuis!! J'ai commencé à scrapper pour faire un cadeau pour les 60 ans de ma belle-mère. Je m'étais jurée que je ne deviendrais pas accro. HA!! Je ne me suis jamais retournée depuis... et tous mes autres hobbies ont pris le bord!!! lol! Je décrirait mon style comme très varié... je suis partout, j'essaie tout!! Je scrappe comme ça vient. C'est pour ça que dans ma galerie vous pourrez voir des pages clean&Simple, des pages freestyle, des pages shabby, etc! Je vais avec mon inspiration du moment. Par contre, ce que j'aime le plus, c'est le shabby. Pas l'extrême shabby, mais quand même avec du distressing, de l'encrage, la superposition, etc. Et j'ADORE utiliser des couleurs vibrantes, ça me rend heureuse!! Mais je commence tout de même à utiliser de plus en plus des couleurs pastelles et neutres! Je suis très chanceuse car j'ai été sur plusieurs DTs depuis 6 ans! Présentement, je suis sur le DT de JustCre8.com, les papiers Scribble Scrabble et le magazine Style&Scrap... et bien sûr, le blog Mix It Up!! J'ai été publiée à plusieurs reprises, au Québec, au Canada, aux É-U et en Europe. Voilà!

It's fantastic to be here and be a part of this awesome challenge blog!!My name is Caroline Huot, but I go by Caro all the time (In real life as well as online!). I'm 32 and currently a SAHM to 3 kiddos: Etienne who is 14, Xavier who's 9 and Beatrice who's 7. Dh Stephane and I have been together for nearly 16 years now! We live in Laval, which is the suburb just north of Montreal, Qc, Canada. I've been scrapbooking since January 2003: when there was *nothing* (and I mean NOTHING!) scrapbooking wise in my province! It's amazing to see just how far this hobby has gone in Quebec!! I started scrapbooking because I wanted to get my MIL's photos out of boxes and magnetic albums, for her 60th birthday. I *swore* I wouldnt get addicted! HA!!! I never looked back and pushed all my other hobbies aside. lol! I would describe my style as eclectic! I'm all over the place, it seems! I like to try *everything* and I will scrap however it comes to me! This is why you can see clean&simple, freestyle, shabby, layered pages in my gallery! I go with my inspiration at the moment. However, what I love the most is doing some shabby. Not extreme-shabbiness, but a bit more 'muted'. I love distressing, inking and layering! I also LOVE to use bright colours, they make me happy!! But I'm more and more using pastel and earth tones too. I am very lucky in the fact that I have been on various DTs in the course of these 6 years. Currently, I design for JustCre8.com, Scribble Scrabble papers and Style&Scrap magazine... and of course, the Mix It Up challenge blog! I've been published several times, in Quebec, Canada, the US and Europe. :-)

Day (Sketch Designer) - Canada

My name is Day and I live on an island off the west coast of BC. I am a stay at home mom to my adorable tricky two year old girl, and my delicious little pumpkiny one year old boy. I started scrapping almost three years ago and fell into sketching when there seemed to be a need on the message board I frequented. As someone who is always up for a challenge I made sketches for a few people who were stuck, and then since my sketches went over well I decided to start up a blog to share more. I now sketch whenever I get the inspiration and time. I am also on the sketch design team at a fun site called Creative Scrappers.

Isabelle Gagnon - Canada

Bonjour mon nom est Isabelle, je suis une maman de deux jeunes garcons qui me garde très occuper. Dans mes temps libre j'adore faire du scrapbooking et jouer avec ma caméra. J'adore les couleurs vives, l'encre et tout ce qui brille. Je n'ai pas de style défini mais je m'inspire de collègues, mes émotions et de belles photos. 2008 à été un très bonne annee, j'ai finallement fait parti de mon premier design team et j'ai aussi été publié pour les premières fois. Une fois pour Scrapbook and Cards Today et deux fois pour Canadian Scrapbooker. Espèrons que 2009 sera tout aussi bon.

Hello my name is Isabelle, I'm a mother of 2 wonderful boys that keep me very busy! In my free time I love to scrapbook and play with my camera. I love bright colors, ink and things that glitter. I don't have a definite style, I get inspired by other scrappers, my emotions and great photos. 2008 has been my lucky year, I finally made my first design team and I've finally been published. Once for Scrapbook and cards today and twice for Canadian Scrapbooker. Let's hope 2009 will be just as good!

A little about me . . . I'm just a regular gal that names scrapbooking as my passion! I completely love it! I enjoy the creative outlet it gives me as well as the satisfaction of making something that pays tribute to what is most important to me in life . . . my family. I have been scrapbooking for over 10 years. It's become a part of my daily life and a part who I am. My scrapbooking style is eclectic with clean lines and a little shabbiness thrown in. I mostly create 12 X 12 pages, but I also enjoy creating an occasional card, mini book or altered project. If I'm not scrapping, I'm perusing interior design magazines, hanging out at scrapbook message boards, or celebrating life with my family. HI! My name is Juliana Michaels. I will start with a little about my non-scrapping side first. I am married to my best friend & love of my life Danny. We live in a small college town in southern Missouri along the Mississippi River. I work full time as a physical therapist in a local hospital. I spend my free time with my husband, working out, cooking, reading, remodeling our new home, and of course scrapping! So now a bit more about scrapbooking! I have been scrapbooking for 11 years & I love it more every day! I especially love creating 12x12 layouts; however I also enjoy making altered items. I love playing with color, texture, and dimension as well as design composition when creating my projects. Bonjour mon nom est Mélanie Blackburn et je demeure à Ottawa avec mon mari Daniel et nos deux adorables filles Danika et Brianna. J’ai commencé à faire du scrapbooking peu de temps après la naissance de ma fille Danika et qui évidement est devenue ma principale source d’inspiration. Je suis complètement passionnée du scrapbooking. C’est ma méthode de relaxation et mon temps à moi pour être créative. Je préfère faire des pages qui s’inspirent des moments de tous les jours comparativement à des évènements spécifiques. Mon style varie beaucoup sauf que je porte toujours une attention toute particulière aux détails. Ma passion pour cet art m’a inspiré à créer Mix It Up. Hello, my name is Mélanie Blackburn and I live in beautiful Ottawa, Canada with my husband Daniel and our beautiful daughters Danika and Brianna. I have been scrapbooking since April 2005 and my main source of inspiration is my family. I love everything about this hobby, from taking the perfect picture, to finding the perfect paper and preserving memories for the generations to come. Scrapbooking is a method of relaxation for me, after a hectic day at work; I look forward to having some time to myself to create. I am more of a "moment" scrapper as opposed to an "event" scrapper. I would describe my style as eclectic with an accent on details. I am very passionate about this hobby, that is why I have created Mix It Up! I live in Australia with my two little boys and hubby. We enjoy going to the park and spending time together. I am the crazy one snapping photos all the time. Once everyone goes to sleep I like to work some scrapbooking magic and I love to blog about it. I love digital and traditional scrapbooking, and I LOVE to mix it up into some hybrid projects. Hey there -- my name is Michelle Lanning & I am a certified obsessed scrapbooker! I live in sunny California with my awesome hubby Mike and beautiful daughter Alyson. It is no surprise that these 2 are my favorite subjects to scrap! When I am not being a mommy, wife, or scrapbooker I am a first grade teacher! Sometimes the days are long and the best way for me to unwind is to scrap (of course!). I am known to stay up until the wee hours scrapping! Anytime I get in a rut, I always turn to any type of challenge to spark my creativity. That is why this Mix it up Challenge blog is the perfect fit for me. It is just what I need to keep my juices flowing. I am so honored to be working with these amazing scrappers and be a part of this team!

Hey! I am Cindy, or Cin to my friends.I am a SAHM to a beautiful 4 year old son & wife of 8 years. I started scrapping, shortly after my son was born, intending to do a scrapbook of his first year milestones and fell in love!I am drawn to scrapbooking because no one in my family was ever a 'picture taker'. Our family home caught on fire and then we moved alot, so many of the few pictures my family posessed were destroyed or lost. The pictures that remain are not documented more than the date on the back. My FIL has been scrapping it 'old school' long before it became trendy and my DH now has a scrapbook for every year of his life!! I want to do this for my family as well.
